Annual Physical and
Executive Health Examination Programs
PEMG,
depending on your age, sex and medical coverage, has designed an all
inclusive comprehensive medical evaluation. Our staff of Board
Certified Physicians and medical staff will conduct your examination
and review the results before sending you a written report of those
results.
Department of Transportation (D.O.T.)
and Bus Driver 19A exams are performed if requested.
Review of Medical
History -
Through discussion and a patient survey, doctors will
review past medical problems and current lifestyle.
Physical Exam
- A complete exam and review of all body systems.
Vision and
Hearing - Detects possible need for glasses and identifies any hearing
loss.
SMAC 29
- Blood chemistries help evaluate kidney and liver functions and the
risk of coronary artery disease through a review of total
cholesterol, lipids and triglycerides. This test also screens
for diabetes and gout.
CBC (Complete
Blood Count) - This tests for anemia, infection, leukemia,
and blood abnormalities.
Urinalysis
- Screens for kidney and bladder problems.
Age-Specific Tests
Electrocardiogram

Patients 35 and older will have the
electrical activity of their heart monitored.
Sigmoidoscopy
- Patients 50 years and older will have this exam which looks for
polyps in the lower portion of the colon.
Digital Rectal
- This exam will be performed on male patients 40 years and
older. It is used to detect cancer of the prostate.
Stool Exam
(Patients 40 and older)
- Detects the presence of hidden or "occult" blood which may
be a sign of colonic polyps or cancer.
Additional Tests
The following tests will be done, depending
on the individual's medical plan or when medically indicated:
Prostate Specific
Antigen (PSA) - This blood test detects cancer of the prostate
in men.
Chest X-Ray
- This test yields information on the condition of the lungs, heart and
spine.
Pulmonary
Function Test - The results of this test provide
information on breathing capacity and help in the evaluation of
emphysema, asthma and other respiratory problems.
For Women Only
Pap Test -
This exam detects possible cervical cancer.
Pelvic Exam -
An exam that looks for gynecological disorders.
Mammogram -
This is an x-ray of the breast performed on women 35 years and older and
designed to detect early signs of breast cancer. Professional
Evaluation Medical Group will assist in arranging a mammogram appointment
with a Board Certified Radiologist.
