Annual Physical and Executive Health Examination Programs

PEMG, depending on your age, sex and medical coverage, has designed an all inclusive comprehensive medical evaluation.  Our staff of Board Certified Physicians and medical staff will conduct your examination and review the results before sending you a written report of those results.

Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) and Bus Driver 19A exams are performed if requested.

Review of Medical History - Through discussion and a patient survey, doctors will review past medical problems and current lifestyle.

Physical Exam - A complete exam and review of all body systems.

Vision and Hearing - Detects possible need for glasses and identifies any hearing loss.

SMAC 29 - Blood chemistries help evaluate kidney and liver functions and the risk of coronary artery disease through a review of total cholesterol, lipids and triglycerides.  This test also screens for diabetes and gout.

CBC (Complete Blood Count) - This tests for anemia, infection, leukemia, and blood abnormalities.

Urinalysis - Screens for kidney and bladder problems.

Age-Specific Tests

Electrocardiogram - Patients 35 and older will have the electrical activity of their heart monitored.

Sigmoidoscopy - Patients 50 years and older will have this exam which looks for polyps in the lower portion of the colon.

Digital Rectal - This exam will be performed on male patients 40 years and older.  It is used to detect cancer of the prostate.

Stool Exam (Patients 40 and older) - Detects the presence of hidden or "occult" blood which may be a sign of colonic polyps or cancer.

Additional Tests

The following tests will be done, depending on the individual's medical plan or when medically indicated:

Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) - This blood test detects cancer of the prostate in men.

Chest X-Ray - This test yields information on the condition of the lungs, heart and spine.
